Primary source
Our provider records come from the CMS NPI Registry, part of the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES). We link every result to its official CMS record.
Search method
You can explicitly search an NPI, individual, organization or taxonomy description. Automatic mode infers the likely record type from the query. Location and enumeration-type filters are passed to the official API. Results are displayed in the order returned by CMS.
Updates and completeness
Search responses may be cached briefly for reliability and performance. Records can be incomplete, delayed or entered differently than expected. “Not listed” means the source record did not provide a supported value.
Important limitations
An NPI is an identifier, not an endorsement. Active registry status does not establish licensure, board certification, quality, identity, disciplinary history, availability or insurance participation. Confirm these separately before making healthcare decisions.
